Job summary

Cadence Education in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Teacher Assistant for a Toddler classroom. Under direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher, you will support daily activities and ensure a safe, nurturing learning environment aligned with Cadence programs and IEPs.

You’ll work with a collaborative team to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, build positive relationships with families, and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education preferred but not required if state licensing requirements are met.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant in a licensed childcare center.
• Background clearances and health screenings must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment for every child.
• Greet children and families daily and build professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Support planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents per policy.
• Assist with managing and documenting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development, including after-hours if required.
