Job summary

A leading childcare center is seeking a Toddler Teacher to lead a nurturing classroom environment for children aged 18 months to 24 months. This role involves mentoring other teachers, implementing a unique curriculum, and building relationships with families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning. A sign-on bonus is offered after a probation period.

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Job description

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
  2. Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  3. Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
  4. Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum, working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
  5. Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  6. Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
  7. Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
  8. Build relationships with families and coworkers to create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
Qualifications:
  1. At least six months of professional teaching experience required; 1 year preferred.
  2. High school diploma/GED required; associate degree or higher in ECE or related field preferred.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
  4. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  5. Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.

Position: Toddler teacher for children ages 18m-24m
Schedule: M-F, 8:15AM-5:15PM
