Job summary

Cadence Education in Olympia, WA is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher to create a nurturing classroom environment and deliver a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with our Signature Programs. You will partner with families, support children with IEPs, and supervise classroom operations under the School Director's guidance.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and ongoing professional development, with a dedicated team and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers.
• 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience preferred depending on education and credentials.
• CDA, CCP, EEC or NAC credentials recommended.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families and communicate daily.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental needs, including implementing IEPs and behavioral support plans as required.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence education philosophy.
• Use Cadence systems and communication tools to interact with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom following Cadence Safety guidelines.
• Document and report accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors per policy and licensing requirements.
• Follow Employee Handbook policies and participate in trainings and meetings as required.
