Job summary

The Learning Experience of Winchester is seeking two Toddler Lead Teachers to join our Winchester, Virginia team. You will nurture a safe, engaging classroom where children learn, play, and grow, implementing the LEAP curriculum and daily lesson plans.

The ideal candidate will have prior early childhood experience, a genuine passion for toddlers, and a commitment to professional development and family communication.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of supervised childcare or early childhood experience.
• 1 year+ ECE experience preferred.
• Lead Teacher role requires licensing compliance and background checks.
• CPR/First Aid preferred; willing to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving, nurturing, and positive classroom environment.
• Implement LEAP curriculum and daily lesson plans.
• Create developmentally appropriate learning experiences through play, music, movement, art, language, and hands-on exploration.
• Support social, emotional, cognitive, language, and motor development.
• Maintain active supervision and follow Virginia licensing standards.
• Communicate professionally with parents about child progress.
• Lead and collaborate with assistant teachers and staff.
