Job Description

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements
  • Flexible and willing to work within business hours
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field
  • Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher required
  • Classroom management skills preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the teaching team to promote a positive learning environment for all children
  • Document and communicate children's milestones to parents
  • Implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum in collaboration with colleagues
  • Respect children's interests, ensure safety, and enhance play with language, toys, and activities
  • Model and encourage appropriate social behavior and expectations
  • Plan daily schedules balancing various activities: quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, fine/gross motor skills
