Job Summary

To instruct students in the assigned foreign language areas, following district and school policies, and to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed according to Tennessee state law and Department of Education regulations, with license on file prior to employment.
• Responsibility to maintain valid certification; failure to do so may result in suspension without pay.
• Demonstrate competency based on current job standards and evaluation models.

Essential Functions/Job Duties

• Report to the Principal/Supervisor.
• Cooperate fully with all instructions and additional assignments.
• Provide instruction in assigned areas.
• Accurately record attendance.
• Follow state and local curricula, rules, and policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents and the community.
• Inform parents of student progress and hold conferences as needed.
• Report suspected child abuse or neglect.
• Establish respectful working relationships within the school.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
