Job summary

The Learning Experience - Jenison in Jenison, MI is hiring an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to nurture curious learners in a licensed early childhood classroom. You will implement the LEAP Curriculum, lead daily activities, support diapering, meals, rest, and transitions, and document developmental progress.

We offer a full-time schedule Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, competitive hourly pay of $17–$20 based on experience, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required.
• Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred.
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred.
• Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Toddler classroom activities and routines.
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Engage children through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, language, and hands-on exploration.
• Encourage communication, independence, and positive social interactions.
• Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and transitions.
• Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management.
• Observe and document children's developmental progress.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers.
• Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom.
• Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements.
