The Learning Experience - Jenison is seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to support Lead Teachers in daily classroom activities, routines, and engaging learning experiences for children aged daycare to preschool. You will help create safe, welcoming spaces and assist with meals, rest time, and transitions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in childcare preferred but not required.
• Must meet Michigan licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Engage children through stories, art, sensory play, music, movement, and hands-on experiences.
• Assist with meals, rest time, diapering, toileting, and transitions as appropriate.
• Encourage children's independence and positive social interactions.
• Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management.
• Help maintain appropriate supervision and classroom ratios.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.

Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Jenison is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Teacher to work alongside our experienced Lead Teachers and help create safe, positive, and engaging classroom experiences.
