Job summary

The Goddard School in Michigan is seeking a Resource Teacher to support lead and assistant teachers by providing classroom coverage, helping with lesson implementation, and promoting a positive learning environment for young children.

You will work in collaboration with a team, participate in trainings, and help ensure safety and development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical areas in a dynamic preschool setting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with children, families, and staff.
• Experience working with young children in childcare, preschool, or daycare settings is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is required or encouraged.
• High school diploma or GED is required; CDA or associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in toddler and other classrooms as needed.
• Assist teachers with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Maintain active supervision of children at all times and model positive behavior.
