Job summary

The Goddard School in the United States is seeking a Resource Teacher to support lead and assistant teachers by providing classroom coverage, assisting with lesson implementation, and supervising children in a positive learning environment.

This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a passion for early childhood education, with opportunities to grow through training and development in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA or associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience working with young children in childcare, preschool, or daycare settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms as needed.
• Assist teachers with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
• Foster positive interactions and model appropriate behavior.
• Ensure children's health, safety, and well-being in accordance with licensing regulations and company policies.
• Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and rest time routines.
• Respond appropriately to children's needs and emergencies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environments.
• Support educational activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and school readiness.
• Engage children through play-based learning experiences.
• Prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
• Observe and communicate children's progress and developmental milestones to classroom teachers.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
• Assist with special events, school activities, and transitions throughout the day.
• Promote a positive and professional school culture.
