Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking a Resource Teacher to support lead and assistant teachers by covering classrooms, assisting with lesson implementation, and supervising children. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and a passion for early childhood education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience working with young children in childcare, preschool, or daycare settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration with families and staff.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is required or encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classrooms as needed.
• Assist teachers with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
• Foster positive interactions and model appropriate behavior.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support child outcomes.
