Job summary

The Learning Experience – Hell's Kitchen in New York, NY is seeking a caring Toddler Teacher Assistant to support our toddler classroom. You will help the Lead Teacher with daily routines, learning activities, and fostering language, social-emotional, and physical development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Early childhood education or childcare experience preferred.
• Passion for working with toddlers and supporting their development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, nurturing, and professional approach.
• Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily classroom routines for toddler-aged children.
• Support developmentally appropriate learning activities using LEAP Curriculum.
• Encourage children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
• Observe children's progress and communicate with the Lead Teacher.
• Follow all New York State and NYC health, safety, and licensing requirements.
