Job summary

The Montessori Academy of Colorado is seeking a dedicated Toddler Assistant Float to support two toddler classrooms throughout the day, moving between rooms to ensure smooth operations and consistent care. You will aid Lead and Assistant teachers, foster development, and help maintain a clean, organized environment in both spaces.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a degree or credential in early childhood education or child development.
• Bachelor's degree or 2-year degree in child development or ECE, or actively pursuing a degree.
• Certification such as CDA or CCP, or other Department-approved credential.
• Experience working with toddlers and supporting developmental goals is preferred.
• Professionalism, attendance, positivity, and flexibility are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide dynamic support across two toddler classrooms daily, assisting teachers in maintaining a prepared Montessori environment.
• Assist with implementing lesson plans and adapting activities to each group’s needs.
• Engage with children to support language, social, and emotional development.
• Assist toddlers with toileting, feeding, dressing, and washing with care and respect.
• Balance tasks between rooms and communicate with parents as needed.
• Support independence and guide children through new skills with appropriate supervision.
• Ensure safety during outdoor play and transitions between classrooms.
• Keep classrooms and shared spaces clean, orderly, and safe.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and team members; participate in weekly meetings.
