Grand Rapids For Christ is seeking a Child Care Assistant Substitute to support the Lead Caregiver at Olivia Haverkamp Christian Early Learning Center (ELC), Evergreen Campus. The role serves children 18 months to three years old and emphasizes a safe, Christian environment with developmentally appropriate activities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, and successful completion of required background checks and MiRegistry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; relevant experience working with young children preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain if offered a position.
• Complete and pass the state-required background check.
• Complete MiRegistry Health & Safety 1 & 2 training.
• Must be able to sit on the floor, stand, and move around for long periods of time.

• Support the implementation of faith-based, developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Cultivate appropriate relationships with families.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure developmentally appropriate learning activities for students.
• Complete a minimum of 16 hours of professional development annually.
• Uphold safety standards as outlined in the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Technical Assistance Manual.
• Promote GRCS’ Early Childhood programs and services.
