Grand Rapids For Christ is seeking a Child Care Assistant Substitute to support the Lead Caregiver at Olivia Haverkamp Christian Early Learning Center (ELC), Evergreen Campus. The role serves children 18 months to three years old and emphasizes a safe, Christian environment with developmentally appropriate activities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, and successful completion of required background checks and MiRegistry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; relevant experience working with young children preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain if offered a position.
• Complete and pass the state-required background check.
• Complete MiRegistry Health & Safety 1 & 2 training.
• Must be able to sit on the floor, stand, and move around for long periods of time.

BUILDING: Olivia Haverkamp Christian Early Learning Center (ELC), Evergreen Campus

CONTRACT: Up to 30 hours/week, year-round (12 months)

REPORTS TO: Lead Caregiver

COORDINATES WITH: ELC Staff

Position Summary

The Child Care Assistant Substitute Teacher will support the Lead Caregiver in providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching learning environment for children between the ages of 18 months and three years old. Applicants must meet licensing requirements and possess a deep commitment to Christian education.
