As an assistant teacher you will work alongside the lead teacher to create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children’s confidence and independence. You will assist the lead teacher in guiding these little ones through small groups instruction as they grow their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information.

Primary responsibilities:

· Work together with the lead teacher to maintain a clean and safe learning environment.

· Work with lead teacher to maintain teacher/ratios.

· Develop relationships with families.

· Work together with the lead teacher to communicate with families about the important updates, and classroom activities.

· Follow daily schedule.

· Maintain the physical appearance, health, safety, and well-being of the children.

· Assisting Lead Teacher with needs of class

· Lead certain activities such as story time, tummy time etc

· Assist Lead teacher plan activities.

· Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.

· Debriefing next teacher assistant after you

· Accompanying children on outings to the park or special field trip.

· Cleaning up of classroom/ arranging /organizing.

· Additional duties as needed.
