Job summary

A Christian childcare center located in Maple Grove is seeking individuals who love working with children. The role includes assisting teachers in creating a nurturing environment, supervising classes, and implementing daily activities. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, be physically able to lift children and participate in activities, and effectively communicate with children and their families in English. Shepherd's Care is a Christian Childcare Center located in Maple Grove, This position requires you to assist the teachers in providing a warm and nurturing environment for children to meet their physical, mental, spiritual, social and emotional needs. Responsible for performing duties in accordance with policies and procedures. Works under direct supervision of the Teacher and Assistant Teacher. Must be pleasant, respectful, and courteous to all children, families, visitors and fellow employees at all times.

• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in activity, priorities, and/or work schedules

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Must be able to get up and down off the floor, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in activity with children
• Be able to communicate with children and their parents in English
• Meet Minnesota DHS qualifications for position and pass required DHS background check
