Job summary

A Christian Childcare Center is seeking a Childcare Assistant in Maple Grove. This role involves assisting teachers, supervising classrooms, and creating a nurturing atmosphere for children. Job description

Shepherd's Care is a Christian Childcare Center located in Maple Grove. This position requires you to assist the teachers in providing a warm and nurturing environment for children to meet their physical, mental, spiritual, social and emotional needs. Responsible for performing duties in accordance with policies and procedures. Works under direct supervision of the Teacher and Assistant Teacher. Must be pleasant, respectful, and courteous to all children, families, visitors and fellow employees at all times.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Must be able to get up and down off the floor, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in activity with children
• Be able to communicate with children and their parents in English
• Meet Minnesota DHS qualifications for position and pass required DHS background check
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience (MN DHS Rule 3 Qualifications)
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
• Must be at least 18 years of age
