Job summary

The Orthopaedic Center, part of Huntsville Hospital, is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist for a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing goals-based treatment plans, and ongoing assessment of progress within an orthopaedic care team.

Qualified candidates hold a Master or Doctor of Occupational Therapy, with an active Alabama OT license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctor of Occupational Therapy from an accredited OT program.
• HS/GED required as stated.
• Must have an active Alabama OT license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Interpret referrals and perform complete patient evaluations.
• Develop treatment plans with goals, reevaluation, and discharge planning.
• Perform treatment programs and modify as needed based on patient progress.
• Communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff.

Job description

The Orthopaedic Center is looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist for one of our growing locations. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week.

The Occupational Therapist will interpret the practitioner's referrals and perform complete patient evaluations, develop thorough treatment plans to include goals, reevaluation and discharge planning, performs treatment programs, making modifications when necessary, and ongoing assessment of patient's response to treatment, and any other duties as assigned. The Occupational Therapist must be able to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff.

Qualifications

Education required: HS/GED. Must have a Masters or Doctor of Occupational degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.

License

Must have a current Occupational Therapy License in the state of Alabama. Must be CPR Certified.
