Job summary

North American Stamping Group in Portland, TN, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our 3rd shift (9:45 PM–6:15 AM).

You will troubleshoot PLCs and weld controls, perform preventative maintenance, and work with other trades to keep production on target. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available after 180 days, and the rate can reach $44 per hour for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 3 years of maintenance technician experience required.
• Experience with heavy duty mechanical presses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production and related equipment are ready to meet customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot problems on production equipment including PLC, press controls and weld controls.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule for production equipment.
• Requisition supplies and spare parts and keep maintenance areas organized.
• Work with outside tradesmen as required and support continuous improvement.

Come grow with us … North American Stamping is expanding and looking to hire. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position is for 3rd shift at our TNN2 facility in Portland, TN. The hours are 9:45PM - 6:15AM.

This position is eligible for a $2,500.00 sign on bonus (paid in 2 installments) after 180 working days.

Make up to $44.00/ hr.

Experience Requirements

3 years previous experience as a maintenance technician is required.

Prior experience working with heavy duty mechanical presses preferred.

Skill Requirements

• Strong electrical background
• Strong mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair
• Technical skills necessary in the areas of industrial electricity, PLC controls, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Technical skills necessary to follow OSHA requirements
• PC knowledge and experience

Essential Job Functions

• Ensures that production and related equipment is ready to meet customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot problems on production and related equipment.This includes PLC, press controls and weld controls.
• Work with all employees to continuously improve quality and production.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule for production related equipment.
• Complete work from project list as assigned by Maintenance Manager
• Requisition supplies and spare parts for maintenance areas and keep these areas organized.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Work with outside tradesmen as required.
• Available for overtime as required.
• Available for training as required.
• Suggest methods for improvements, i.e continuous improvement plans
• Ensure maintenance repair requests are being addressed, resolved, and returned for proper record keeping in a timely manner.
• Assist in TS 16949 implementation and maintenance as required.

Education Requirements

• Preferred associate degree related to Industrial Maintenance
• High School Diploma

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to see, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and reach with hands as needed to service equipment.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
