Job summary

JC Ford Company in Columbia, TN is seeking a field service technician to provide customer technical service and support, including installation and start-up of machinery, and to perform PLC software modifications on system controls. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and up to 85% travel domestically and internationally.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide customer technical service and support to include installation/start-up (mechanical and electrical)
• PLC software modification on system controls
• Customer training and troubleshooting
• Up to 85% Travel Foreign and Domestic
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls in a machinery environment. Mechanical and electrical technical skills to troubleshoot, design and solve machine malfunctions.
