Job summary

Jefferies is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) team in Dallas. The role focuses on executing M&A transactions, capital raising, and strategic advisory for TMT clients, with exposure to senior bankers and clients.

The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of investment banking experience, strong modeling and valuation skills, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and major financial databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent credential preferred but not required.
• 3–6 years of investment banking, corporate finance, valuation, transaction advisory, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of TMT industry trends and business models.
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases such as Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, or PitchBook.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, debt financing, and other strategic transactions.
• Build and maintain complex financial models, including DCF valuations, comparables, precedent transactions, LBO, and merger models.
• Conduct industry, market, and company research within the TMT sector.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, CIMs, and management presentations.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction timelines.
• Interface with clients, attorneys, accountants, and other stakeholders.
• Review and analyze financial statements, operating metrics, and business plans.
• Assist in training and mentoring Analysts.
