Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) Specialist 2 Project Engineer to lead TMP support during construction and assist in TMP development during design.

The role requires advanced knowledge of work zone traffic control, safety, operations, and standards to deliver practical TMPs addressing traffic control, operations, and public information. Field-office work and driving roadway work zones are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Engineering with required years of experience or equivalent credentials.
• Experience in TMP development and traffic management in construction projects.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in field offices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee TMP development and integration into construction staging and sequencing.
• Coordinate TMP development with design teams, clients, and contractors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff on TMP concepts.
