Job summary

The Mushroom Company, part of the South Mill Champs family, is seeking a reliable Box Maker to join our Production team in Cambridge, Maryland. This full-time role inspects finished products, tracks items, and supports food safety and production standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting products, tracking departures, reporting safety/quality concerns, and maintaining clean work areas. Overtime and weekend availability may be required; the position offers full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food manufacturing or sanitation experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in cold, wet, hot, or noisy conditions.
• Basic English and/or Spanish communication skills.
• Overtime, weekends or holidays when required.

• Inspect products for damaged pallets and/or boxes.
• Track, document, and identify products leaving the department.
• Report food safety or quality concerns, including foreign material.
• Maintain clean floors and work areas.
• Report mechanical or electrical issues.
• Follow food safety, GMP, safety and company policies.
• Provide coverage during breaks and lunches as assigned.
• Cross-train and assist in other areas as needed.
