Job summary

Profluent is seeking a Scientist I/II to lead end-to-end development of a targeted lipid nanoparticle (tLNP) platform. You will design formulations, perform bioconjugation, and characterize nanoparticles for extrahepatic tissue tropism using in vitro and in vivo assays.

You will establish cell culture pipelines, validate targeting and uptake, and present findings to cross-functional leadership. A Ph.D. in a relevant field and hands-on experience with lipid-based delivery are required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required with 0–2 years (Scientist I) or 2–4 years (Scientist II) of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with LNP assembly platforms and surface bioconjugation to functionalize nanoparticles.
• Understanding of biodistribution and tissue tropism through lipid formulation adjustments.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture, quantitative cell-based assays, and in vivo study principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute tLNP formulations with varying lipid compositions.
• Perform surface bioconjugation to attach targeting moieties to LNPs.
• Conduct LNP analytics including DLS, zeta potential, encapsulation, and DoL.
• Establish and optimize cell culture models and in vitro assays (Flow Cytometry, plate readers).
• Plan and analyze in vivo biodistribution and PK studies; derive SAR insights.
• Maintain ELN records, generate reports, and present to leadership.
