Job summary

Profluent Bio is seeking a Scientist I/II to lead end-to-end development of our targeted lipid nanoparticle (tLNP) platform in Emeryville, CA. You will design, formulate, and bioconjugate LNPs while establishing in vitro pipelines to validate targeting and cellular uptake.

You will also plan in vivo biodistribution and PK studies, analyze SAR data, and communicate findings to cross-functional leadership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences with relevant post-PhD experience.
• Hands-on LNP formulation and surface modification experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement tLNP formulations for nucleic acid payloads.
• Attach targeting moieties to LNP surfaces using bioconjugation.
• Characterize particles, size, zeta potential, and encapsulation efficiency.
• Establish in vitro cell culture pipelines and carry out flow cytometry based assays.
• Plan and evaluate in vivo biodistribution and PK studies; interpret SAR data.
• Maintain ELN records and present findings to leadership.
