Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. in Cheraw, SC is seeking a production leader to drive manufacturing priorities, coach a skilled team, and ensure quality, cost, and delivery KPIs are met.

You will direct setup, maintenance, and training activities, while fostering a safe, collaborative work environment. The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing, multi-skilled operation experience, and strong knowledge of production processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 2 year Technical degree.
• Will consider OTJ experience with Schaeffler.
• Will consider 3-5 years relevant experience in manufacturing.
• Experience as a multi skilled operator in his/her area of responsibility.
• Good knowledge of production processes, measurement and inspection procedures, production planning and control, MS-Office and SAP.
• Ability to work with others, collaborate and use persuasion to accomplish the work.
• Familiar with computer programs.
• Strong communication stills and able to resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Support PL in communication of production goals, KPI’s to production workforce.
• Take ownership and responsibility for the performance of the team.
• Monitors and evaluates KPI goals for the work area and holds each individual accountable for performance.
• Meets regularly to review performance.
• Addresses performance issues with PL in related meetings with employee.

• Uses an effective compelling dashboard as a means of feedback on KPI’s Position Description
• Meets regularly (min. once per week) to review performance
• Addresses performance issues with PL in related meetings with employeeProvides recognition and rewards related to performance goals
• Responsible for maintaining a competent, skilled work group.
• Trains new employees using approved training model / material provided by Training and Development
• Trains current employees related to refresher training/new procedures/new equipment/performance etc.
• Responsible for maintains all training records of employees and insuring certifications are current
• Monitors absenteeism – supports PL in appropriate disciplinary action when needed
• Evaluation of employees – Provides feedback to manager for employee evaluation purposes and attends performance feedback
