Job summary

Boy s & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is seeking a Youth Program Leader to guide a classroom of TK-8 students across Daly City, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Mateo, or South San Francisco sites. You will implement engaging learning activities, mentor students, and coordinate enrichment programs.

The role offers part-time, hourly pay and opportunities for growth while supporting a strong community mission and providing a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Commitment to BGCP’s mission and vision and working with TK-8 youth.
• Experience building relationships with diverse youth communities and constituents.
• Ability to motivate through positive reinforcement.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexible in navigating a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred one year of experience working with TK-8 youth.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of approximately 10-20 students per 1 staff.
• Provide academic mentoring and homework assistance.
• Lead students through academic activities.
• Adapt lesson plans for delivering enrichment classes and clubs (art, cooking, STEM, fitness, etc.).
• Conduct life skills and team-building activities.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and BGCP leadership.
• Engage in weekly check-ins and participate in staff meetings.
• Maintain a positive, safe, productive work environment.
• Participate in supporting special events and field trips.
• Attend training and professional development opportunities.
