Job summary

The State of South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a Titling & Licensing Specialist II to handle licensing, titling and registration tasks at the Pickens Branch. This role emphasizes customer service and accurate processing of documents in a fast-paced office.

Responsibilities include issuing licenses, permits and IDs, processing registrations, and assisting business customers such as banks and dealerships, all while following SC DMV policies and state laws.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent plus clerical experience.
• CDL test examiner trainer course and examination that includes Introduction to CDL Licensing System, Overview of the CDL Tests, Vehicle Inspection Tests and Knowledge Tests.
• Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include fingerprints prior to being certified to administer CDL knowledge skill tests.

Responsibilities

• Examine, accept, prepare, enter and print documents for drivers' licenses, permits and IDs.
• Manage licensing needs for banks, lienholders, insurance companies, and dealerships.
• Process motor vehicle registration requests and research suspensions.
• Determine service eligibility per SC laws and DMV policies.
• Administer knowledge tests for various license classes.
