Job summary

The Title Specialist I position at Cox Automotive's NextGear Capital division focuses on accurate processing of vehicle titles, verifying information, and resolving title issues with clients and regulatory agencies. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Applicants must reside in certain states including CA, WA, FL, GA, TX, OH, or AZ.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Typically less than 2 years of experience.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Detail oriented with strong communication and customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Review titles for negotiability and reassign titles on behalf of clients.
• Complete applications for new titles for clients as needed.
• Facilitate lien perfection on financed collateral when required.
• Release liens on collateral paid in full according to policy and procedure.
• Communicate with internal and external clients to resolve title questions via email, ServiceNOW ticket, and phone.
• Answer routine questions and follow guidelines using experience.
• Partner with senior Title Specialists and Titles & Records leadership on complex title issues.
• Follow instructions and maintain workflow standards with integrity.
• Attain production and quality goals per department guidelines.
• Adhere to all NextGear Capital & Cox Automotive policies and attendance.
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.

Job description

The Title Specialist I (TS) position will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle titles by verifying title information is correct and interacting with clients and regulatory agencies to resolve title issues. Through training and mentoring, the Title Specialist I will develop their skill base and knowledge of relevant US Federal, State, and Territory title information, internal policies and procedures, and the NextGear standard for customer service.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 9AM to 6PM.

Applicants must reside in: California, Washington, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Ohio or Arizona

Key Responsibilities:

• Review titles for negotiability, sign and reassign titles on behalf of clients.
• Complete application for new title on behalf of clients as needed.
• Facilitate lien perfection on NextGear Capital financed collateral when required.
• Release NextGear Capital lien on collateral that has been paid in full according to policy & procedure.
• Communicate with internal and external clients to resolve title questions or requests via email, ServiceNOW ticket,and phone call.
• Answer routine questions, follow guidelines, and use judgment based on experience.
• Partner with more senior Title Specialists and Titles & Records leadership on complex title issues.
• Follow instructions and maintain workflow standards with integrity.
• Attain production, quality goals, and metric standards in accordance with Titles & Records department guidelines,
• such as productivity percentage, etc.
• Adhere to all NextGear Capital & Cox Automotive company policies and procedures regarding attendance and conduct.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Additional assigned tasks as directed by Titles & Records leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience
• Must have good organizational and time management skills.
• Must be detail orientated.
• Must display effective communication skills and customer service attitude.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous Motor Vehicle Titling and/or Automotive Industry experience is preferred but not required.
