Job summary

Trumbull County Educational Service Center in Girard, OH seeks a Title I Tutor for Girard Junior High School (grades 7-8). The tutor will provide tutoring in Mathematics, English Language Arts, and STEM as part of Title I services for the 2026-2027 school year.

Candidates must hold a valid Ohio teaching certificate with highly qualified status and be able to work in a team. The position requires a drug test and BCIs, with up to 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week, across 174 days per year.

• Must hold a valid Ohio teaching certificate/license in appropriate grade level(s)preferred.
• Must possess highly qualified status.
• Must have ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with or knowledge of research-based instructional strategies preferred.
• Must have successful BCI & FBI background checks.
• Must have successful drug test results.
• Must be willing and able to carry out the duties of the job description.

Responsibilities

• Provide Title I tutoring in Mathematics, English Language Arts & STEM for Grades 7-8.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student learning.
• Implement research-based instructional strategies as appropriate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by building/district administration.
