Job summary

Midwest City - Del City School District is hiring a Title I Paraprofessional (Tier 1) at Del City High School in Del City, Oklahoma. The role assists a lead teacher, supports lesson delivery, and helps maintain a safe classroom environment to enable student learning.

Starting date is immediate. The position is in a secondary instruction setting with a non-exempt status and safety responsibilities. Salary is set per Schedule BB and may include standard school benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher or pass WorkKeys/ParaPathways/Oklahoma GED test or 48 college hours completed.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher with lesson prep by obtaining materials and setting up equipment.
• Conduct learning activities with large and small groups of students.
• Communicate with the classroom teacher to ensure a safe, productive learning environment.
• Supervise children during instructional periods and transitions.
• Oversee students during lunch, recess, arrival and dismissal and field trips.
• Ensure classroom remains safe and clean.
• Assist with technology-related instructional programs.
• Collaborate with the teacher to recognize student issues and suggest solutions.
• Develop a positive rapport with students.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
