Job summary

Coweta County School District is seeking a TITLE I PARAPROFESSIONAL at Glanton Elementary School to support teachers in implementing instructional programs and activities. You will assist with materials, group instruction, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

The role requires paraprofessional certification or related education, plus experience working with children. Applicants may submit transcripts or GACE-related materials as applicable.

Qualifications

• Qualify for a Paraprofessional Certificate by meeting one of the requirements listed above.
• Submit an official transcript from your college, if applicable.
• If you are taking the GACE, submit a copy of your high school diploma to the provided email address.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned groups and individuals as directed by the teacher.
• Presents materials required for the teaching assignment within curriculum guidelines.
• Assists in creating a conducive learning environment and supports student needs.
• Prepares for groups and individuals and documents preparation.
• Provides teacher input for assessing student progress.
• Protects students, equipment, materials and facilities; follows safety rules.
• Maintains accurate records as required by policy.
• Supports administration in enforcing school policies and procedures.
• Assists with classroom management and behavior expectations.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in committees as required.
• Reproduces and distributes instructional materials for program implementation.
