Job summary

Southwest Licking Local School District Etna Elementary - Pataskala, Ohio invites applications for a Title I Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in reading, writing and math.

This role focuses on one-on-one and small-group instruction under direct supervision, with duties in classrooms, libraries, and labs, and requires effective communication and supervision of students. Salary is based on the negotiated agreement; position is full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of college completed.
• Valid ESEA Educational Aide certificate issued by Ohio.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate with others and supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring for eligible students under teacher guidance.
• Assist with classroom management by organizing instructional materials.
• Provide support in a computer lab and in a library/media center.
• Conduct parental involvement activities and serve as translator when needed.
• Work under direct supervision of a licensed teacher to deliver reading, writing, and math instruction.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student files and family concerns.
• Assist in cafeteria and playground areas and maintain a calm, controlled demeanor.
