Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a Title I Intervention Specialist to join the school leadership team in Irving, Texas. This position will focus on providing specialized instruction to struggling students, monitoring their progress, and supporting educators in implementing effective instructional strategies.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, valid Texas teacher certification, and at least 3 years of classroom experience. The role also includes conducting professional development for teachers to enhance their instructional approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teacher's certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years classroom experience.
• Reading/Math Specialist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group instruction for struggling students.
• Assist teachers in progress monitoring.
• Participate in planning with teachers.

Skills

Knowledge of Texas Assessment Program

Deep knowledge of RtI process

Intervention techniques for early literacy skills

Computer proficiency for record keeping

Collaborative work ability

Instructional modeling ability

Effective communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Valid Texas teacher’s certification
