Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Indianapolis. This role focuses on collaborating with teachers to provide instructional support to underachieving students, facilitating their learning and improving skills in the classroom.

Candidates must have an Associate's degree or equivalent and prior experience with young people. This position offers a meaningful impact within the school community and contributes to maintaining a positive academic climate among parents, students, and staff.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience of three to six months with young people in a school or childcare setting.
• Must have access to dependable transportation.
• Must be able to work without constant direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional interventions under the direction of a licensed teacher.
• Helps prepare students for formal and informal assessments.
• Assists classroom teachers with school improvement plan implementation.
• Conducts academic workshops and home visits for parents.
• Maintains records of Title I students served and their progress.
