Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a Title I/SCE General Aide to support the campus by assisting in the office and classrooms as directed by the principal. This is a grant funded role with a 187-day schedule under Paraprofessional 030.

The incumbent will perform clerical tasks, support individual students or small groups, and help maintain confidentiality and instructional materials while contributing to a positive campus environment.

Qualifications

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate or equivalent
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with children or parents preferred
• Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
• Knowledge of general office equipment and processes
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned
• Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment
• Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed
• Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned
• Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations
• Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required
