Job summary

Westcor Land Title Insurance Company is seeking experienced Title Examiners to abstract and examine public records to issue clear title opinions. You will analyze deeds, mortgages, liens, probates, and related documents to ensure insurability and prepare precise title commitments.

The role emphasizes productivity, risk assessment, and adherence to policy provisions, with responsibilities including client communication and collaboration with management.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with title searching software (DataTree, DATA Trace, FASTSearch) is preferred.
• Minimum four years of industry experience in title work.
• Experience examining titles in PA and other states is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Examine title orders to determine insurability and conditions of the title.
• Prepare accurate title commitments per procedures and policy.
• Research title plant software and relevant records for ownership/descriptions.
• Explain chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to customers and managers.
• Identify title defects and propose curative solutions.
