Job summary

First American is seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead a team of Claims Specialists in Pennsylvania. The role requires a JD and 4–8 years of title insurance experience, with strong leadership and analytical skills to guide investigations and resolutions.

You will oversee workflow, ensure adherence to procedures, and collaborate with Claims Counsel and underwriting to manage exposures and complex claims.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Typically 4–8 years of experience in title insurance/underwriting and claims resolution.
• Demonstrated knowledge of title insurance claims investigation, evaluation, and resolution.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Claims Specialists, including workload distribution, staffing, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
• Provide guidance on investigation, evaluation, coverage analysis, documentation, and resolution of title insurance claims.
• Escalate complex claims to Claims Counsel or senior leadership as needed.
• Ensure timely, consistent handling per company procedures and authority levels.
• Collaborate with attorneys, underwriting, operations, and other partners to facilitate claim resolution.
