ACCEL Schools is seeking a highly qualified Title One Math Teacher at Inkster Preparatory Academy in Inkster, Michigan dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. We are seeking individuals who are excited to create a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities of the Interventionist include to-
  • Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability tomodifyaccordingly during the schoolyear
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of allstudents
  • Maintainaccurateand complete records of students’ progress anddevelopment
  • Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroominstruction
  • Manage student behavior in theclassroom
  • Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in
  • Utilize school approved curricula that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of thestudents
  • Implement school-wide culture expectations andnorms
  • Communicate and meet with familiesregardingthe academic and social-emotional growth of theirchild
  • Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to supportlearning
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, asneeded
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively withcolleagues
  • Perform other duties asassigned
About You:
  • Active and current state of Michigan teaching license inappropriate contentarea
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
  • High levelof comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progressmonitoring
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability toproperly manageconfidentialinformation
  • Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal backgroundchecks
  • Experience working within an urbanenvironment
