Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in Flowood, Mississippi, is seeking a Tissue Recovery Coordinator (TRC) responsible for coordinating the tissue donation process. This includes referral, scheduling, recovery, and shipment of tissues.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or Business, or an Associate degree with a relevant certification, along with at least two years of experience in the field. On-call and weekend responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or Business or an Associate degree with relevant certification.
• At least 1 year experience as a Recovery Team Leader or equivalent.
• Current AATB Certified Tissue Banking Specialist certification or the ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the tissue donation process including referral, scheduling, recovery, and shipment.
• Assist with hospital development and public education programming as needed.
• Maintain professional liaison between MORA Tissue Services and the medical/civic community.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or Business

Completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse program or equivalent

Job description

Assists with hospital development (as needed), professional andpublic education programming (as needed) and maintains a positive, professionalliaison between MORA Tissue Services and the medical/civic community.On-call and weekend responsibilities are required.

Education and Work Experience Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in lifesciences or Business or Associate degree and completion of a LicensedPractical Nurse, Operating Room Technician, Mortician, or other lifesciences program, plus two (2) years experience within the discipline.
2. At least one (1) year experienceas a Recovery Team Leader or equivalent and two (2) years totaltissue-banking experience.
3. Current AATB Certified TissueBanking Specialist (CTBS) or able to sit for the exam at the earliestavailable testing time.
