Job summary

R&D Partners in Foster City, CA is seeking a highly skilled scientist to support drug discovery in the Pathobiology Group. You will optimize antibody reagents for IHC and CISH, develop tissue-based assays, and collaborate across internal teams and CROs to advance drug targets in oncology, fibrosis, virology, and inflammation.

The role requires a BS/BA with 8+ years or an MS with 6+ years in relevant research, with strong IHC method development and data handling skills.

Qualifications

• BS with 8+ years or MS with 6+ years in a relevant field.
• Experience in drug discovery and target ID/validation by IHC.
• IHC method development and tissue handling experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Able to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and scientific problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and/or validate antibody reagents for IHC and CISH.
• Lead IHC method development and process improvements.
• Develop tissue-based assays using human and animal tissue prep and imaging.
• Work with CROs or external experts as needed.
• Plan, execute, and troubleshoot experiments supporting drug projects.
• Present findings to senior staff and identify new tech opportunities.
