Job summary

Pacer Group in Foster City, CA is seeking a Pathobiology Contractor/ Research Associate - III to support drug discovery efforts within the Pathobiology Group. The role focuses on tissue-based endpoints and antibody reagent optimization for IHC and CISH.

The successful candidate will have extensive IHC experience, manage multiple priorities, and work closely with internal and external collaborators to advance oncology, fibrosis, virology, and inflammation projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or MS degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience in IHC method development and histological techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under timelines.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Optimize/validate antibody reagents for IHC and CISH.
• Develop tissue-based assays and validate drug targets in oncology, fibrosis, virology, and inflammation.
• Work cross-functionally and communicate findings to senior staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements in IHC and histology techniques.
