Responsibilities

• Receive & sort tires as they arrive at the facility.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and inventory records.
• Help maintain and count inventory when required.
• Operate forklift according to OSHA standards and procedures.
• Identify and sort tires by specification.
• Identify defective tires by manufacturer and submit warranty claims.
• Mount and dismount tires carefully to avoid damage.
• Replace damaged beads during mounting process.
• Balance and check runout on all Wide Base tires to Prime specifications.
• Keep the work environment clean and organized.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Prior tire experience is a plus but not required.

Work Experience & Education:

High school diploma or GED preferred; or 1-3 months related experience/training or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

Constant standing, handling, and reaching; frequent walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and gripping. Must lift up to 105 lbs, carry 60 lbs, and push/pull 130 lbs. Steel-toed footwear and safety glasses are mandatory.

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to weather and chemical odors.

Licensing/Certification:

Must pass a physical exam prior to employment, specific to the location.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to pass a physical exam through APEX Physical Therapy if in Springfield, MO, or a general physical elsewhere.
