PETE'S TIRE BARNS INC is seeking a full-time tire technician at our Attleborough, MA location. The role focuses on changing primarily commercial tires for loaders and farm equipment, with opportunities to service passenger and light trucks as needed.

Responsibilities include tire repairs, replacements, and wheel service, plus proper documentation, safety compliance, and collaboration with store management to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Driver's License & clean driving record required.

Responsabilités

• Change tires primarily for commercial clients (loader, farm) and may service passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and lawn & garden tires.
• Perform tire repairs, replacements and general service to tires and wheels.
• Remove or replace mounted tire assemblies from vehicles.
• Recognize repairable tires and discard non-repairable tires.
• Document all work on tags, work orders and invoices.
• Operate safety equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Report any unsafe actions or broken tools to management.
• Review service work orders for complete customer information and repairs.
• Ensure all products leave with proper paperwork.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $19.00 - $22.00 Hourly

Sign On Bonus: Paid at successful completion of 3 months, another at 1 year!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for changing primarily commercial tires, loader and farm, but may change passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and/or lawn and garden
• Perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels
• Remove or replace mounted tire assembly from vehicles
• Ability to recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair and discard tires that are not repairable
• Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices
• Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
• Use all provided safety equipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glasses and communicate equipment needs
• Report all tools or equipment that need repair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions, problems or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager
• Perform daily maintenance of tools and equipment
• Review service work orders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs, mounts, new tires, valves before giving to the store manager
• Ensure that all products leave with proper paperwork
• As needed, perform miscellaneous job duties to ensure prompt services to our customer
• Willing to make customer satisfaction a number one priority, must be flexible and understand that job priorities will constantly change due to customer needs
• Equipment: Capable of operating lift gates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, air guns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines, and computer and office equipment

Physical Demands

Exerts 75 to 125 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequently reaches (extending hands and arms in any direction), handles (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or working with hands), and identifies and distinguishes colors. Occasionally climbs (ascends or descends ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like), balances. Occasionally stoops (bending the body downward and forward by bending at the waist, legs and spine), and kneels (bending the legs at knee to come to rest on knee or knees).
