Responsibilities

  • Change tires on passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and lawn equipment.
  • Perform tire repairs, replacements, and general tire/wheel service.
  • Remove or replace mounted tire assemblies from vehicles.
  • Ensure safety while using tools and equipment and follow safety procedures.
  • Document all work on tags, work orders, or invoices.
  • Maintain tools and equipment; report any needed repairs.
  • Review service orders for complete information before proceeding.
  • Ensure all paperwork accompanies products upon departure.
  • Aim for high customer satisfaction and be adaptable to changing priorities.

Job DetailsJob Location: Amherst NH - Amherst, NH 03031Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $19.00 - $19.00 HourlyNo experience needed! We are committed to training the right candidate for an entry-level tire technician position.

We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated and interested in beginning a career in the tire industry. In this role, you are able to gain experience with various tires and equipment.

Sign On Bonus: Paid at successful completion of 3 months, another at 1 year!

Requirements
  • Responsible for changing primarily passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and/or lawn and garden
  • Perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels
  • Remove or replace mounted tire assembly from vehicles
  • Ability to recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair and discard tires that are not repairable
  • Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Use all provided safety equipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glasses and communicate equipment needs
  • Report all tools or equipment that need repair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions, problems or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager
  • Perform daily maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Review service work orders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs, mounts, new tires, valves before giving to the store manager
  • Ensure that all products leave with proper paperwork
  • As needed, perform miscellaneous job duties to ensure prompt services to our customer
  • Willing to make customer satisfaction a number one priority, must be flexible and understand that job priorities will constantly change due to customer needs
  • Equipment: Capable of operating lift gates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, air guns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines, and computer and office equipment
Physical Demands

Exerts 75 to 125 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequently reaches (extending hands and arms in any direction), handles (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or working with hands), and identifies and distinguishes colors. Occasionally climbs (ascends or descends ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like), balances. Occasionally stoops (bending the body downward and forward by bending at the waist, legs and spine), and kneels (bending the legs at knee to come to rest on knee or knees).
