Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires for diverse vehicle types. You will diagnose mechanical issues on heavy trucks and perform PM inspections, respond to roadside calls, and assist with inventory and safety protocols.

Requirements include 18+, a clean driving record, ability to lift 30–250 lbs, and flexible hours including evenings/weekends. Training and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Overtime may be required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift/move tires weighing 30–250 lbs with or without aids.
• Must perform physically demanding work and handle vibration and awkward postures.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger cars, light trucks, and heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks and trailers.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service vehicle.
• Conduct routine fleet inspections and maintenance.
• Maintain TPMS and assist with inventory loading and counts.
• Participate in training and follow safety and company policies.
