Job summary

Transdev seeks an experienced Tire Technician in Pittsburgh, PA to maintain and replace tires on commercial and light vehicles, and to perform service calls as needed. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and asset longevity with a 7:00am - 3:30pm shift.

Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or GED (vocational repair cert preferred) and be subject to DOT drug testing. Benefits include PTO, health coverage, ASE training, and boot allowances.

Job description

Tire Technician

Transdev is seeking an experienced Tire Technician in Pittsburgh, PA to bolster our team. This may include but is not limited to tire maintenance, fulfilling service calls for repair, conducting visual inspections of vehicles and related work as assigned. As a Tire Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our customers' assets. Shift hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $28.96 / hour

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)
  • Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason
Physical Requirements
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
