Job summary

Suburban Automotive Service is seeking a Tire Technician to mount and balance wheelsets for GM and Ford dealerships. You will also dismount scrap rims and manage wheel components efficiently.

The role requires English proficiency, a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and a readiness to uphold safety and quality standards while working Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

Responsibilities

• Pull wheels and tires from the pull sheet provided by the associate pulling orders.
• Dismount tires from scrap/return rims using wheel equipment.
• Mount and balance wheelsets using wheel equipment.
• Clean and maintain machines and the work area.
• Log completed wheel sets with RF guns.
• Look up stock and inventory for wheel components.
• Use forklifts to retrieve parts to assemble wheels.
• Stack finished product wheels on a pallet by hand.
• Stage wheels to be shipped using a fork or hand truck.
• Assist other operational departments.
• Adhere to safety and quality control measures.
• Participate in daily huddles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for mounting and balancing new wheelsets for GM and Ford dealerships. You will also be responsible for dismounting returned scrap rims from dealerships.

SalaryOverview:

The pay rate for this role starts at $19-21per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

Tire Technician Responsibilities include:

• Pull wheels and tires from the pull sheet provided by the associate pulling orders.
• Dismount new tires from scrap/return rims using the wheel equipment provided.
• Mount and balance newly constructed wheelsets utilizing the wheel equipment.
• Clean and maintain the machines and the work area.
• Use RF guns to log completed wheel sets.

• Stack finished product wheels on a pallet by hand.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be okay with walking and standing for extended periods.
• Minor potential lead hazard.
