Tire Technician
Position Summary

The Tire Technician is responsible for inspecting, mounting, balancing, rotating, repairing, and replacing tires on customer and dealership vehicles. This position plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety, performance, and customer satisfaction by performing quality workmanship while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Mount, dismount, balance, and install tires on vehicles
  • Perform tire repairs in accordance with industry safety standards.
  • Conduct tire inspections for wear, damage, proper inflation, and tread depth.
  • Rotate tires and perform wheel balancing services.
  • Check and adjust tire pressure, including Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services performed.
  • Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
  • Follow all dealership policies and manufacturer procedures.
  • Assist with general shop duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with technicians, advisors, and other team members to provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous tire or automotive service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to safely operate tire mounting, balancing, and lifting equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and carry tires and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and shop environments.
  • Manual dexterity to safely operate automotive tools and equipment.

Work Environment
